We had been looking forward to re-visiting Bergen. We had been here in 2005 to take a cruise on the Hurtigruten. We had really enjoyed our stay although Norwegian prices have to be seen to be believed - how about $5 for a cup of cocoa!
Our new visit did not disappoint. The weather was delightful shirtsleeve temperature and the town was as quaint and pretty as we remembered. We spent several hours walking the steep and crooked streets and enjoyed every minute of it. I took a lot of pictures, as usual, even though they duplicate the ones from 2005.
We didn't buy anything. I almost bought a two liter bottle of water, but realized that the price was $6.50 and left the water alone. Still, Bergen is is wonderful place, very clean and with quaint old buildings tilting this way and that.
